I hope you enjoy these images. This site contains images from my recent visits to Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, and Denmark), and Northern Europe (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Finland), the earlier travels to the Western Europe (Germany, France, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria), and Eastern Europa (Czechoslovakia, Poland, Belorussia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia), and a current stay in Russia. Background
I felt innerly motivated for the photography since my early teens. But my conscious photographic endeavors could be put into practice just when I finally left my active medical career as a doctor-immunologist in the spring 2000. I got my first own film camera as a friendly gift for my 35th anniversary on Christmas 2001, and bought my first own digital camera just in the autumn 2011. I started too late, and still have no any special education in the photography. So, all my photo works are just primarily a way to share with friends and other people around all the stunning beauty of the views and moments which I’m watching and experiencing during my lonely coastal strolls, wandering oversea trips, and unhurried urban meanderings.
For the first time my photo works have been shown in public during my personal photo show «A Little Sun in Cold Water», November 2004 in St.Petersburg, and have got an active interest and truly positive media reviews. Another my photo show «Memories of the Future» has been organized in May — June 2015 in St.Petersburg, and also got sincere interest and delighted responses from the reputable professional photographers. Also I should gratefully admit that since a very beginning my photo works were warmly appreciated, and my efforts were always encouraged by my friends and other photographers, giving me truly amazing motivation. About the Images
All these photographs were taken without any filters and special lenses. Indoor and night scenes were shot using available light, without flash. The earlier images are scans of the negatives and photographs, made with the Lexmark and HP scanners. The later images are without any digital modification. The earlier images were made with an Olympus μ 4,5/38 — 9,7/115 mm, an optical zoom 115, a fully automatic 35mm film camera. The later (digital) images were made with a Nikon Coolpix S8200, matrix CMOS 1/2,3 ISO 100-3200 focus 25 — 350 mm f/3,3 — 5,9 14x wide optical zoom NIKKOR ED VR, an automatic digital camera. The latest ones have been made with a Nikon Coolpix S9700, matrix CMOS 1/2,3 ISO 125-1600 focus 4,5 — 135 mm f/3,7 — 6,4 30x wide optical zoom NIKKOR, an automatic digital camera.
All the digital images are available for purchase continually. Most of earlier images are available for purchase as long as the negative is available for making prints of equal quality. Framed 8″ x 12″ prints are € 150 and unframed prints are € 110. Whatever you choose, I will be glad to sign your any choice.
